Bladder kits are designed to eliminate the friction from the IFP seal Drag. They also increase nitrogen volume and increase the oil contact area for better cooling in the shocks reservoir. With a bladder kit added to your shocks, you will notice the difference to how smooth your suspension feels and reacts at slow and high speeds. Bladder technology is not new; it is the preferred nitrogen separation system commonly used in Motocross, Road racing and ATV racing on high performance OEM shock Absorbers.
The disadvantage of an Internal Floating Piston (IFP)
• Seal drag causes added friction
• Seals tend to leak when the shock heats and cools
• Tube distortion increases seal drag friction and causes premature failure when mounting remote reservoir systems
The advantage of a Bladder Type Separation System -
• No drag or friction on cylinder walls
• Increased nitrogen volume
• No chance of leaking past seals when shock temperatures change
• No affect to mounting systems |
