Dual Pressure

 FAQ's

What is the difference between Dual Pressure 2 and Dual Pressure 3?
Dual Pressure 2 (Part #03-35-002-A) fits the Fox FLOAT and FLOAT 2 shocks, while Dual Pressure 3 (Part #03-35-005-A) fits the Fox FLOAT 3 shock. Be sure to know what shocks your vehicle has before ordering.

Can my Dual Pressure 2 be upgraded to Dual Pressure 3??
Yes, if you would like to install the Dual Pressure 2 on a Fox FLOAT 3 shock click here for Part #03-35-019-A. *Only Dual Pressure 2 can be upgraded, Air Control and original Dual Pressure cannot.
Can I pressurize my shocks while the vehicle is on the ground?
No, the vehicle must be off the ground with the shock fully extended to properly charge the reservoir.
How does Dual Pressure compare to the Fox FLOAT Evol?
The Dual Pressure reservoirs are a simple bolt on version with higher chamber volume than the Evol. Both Dual Pressure and Evol allow the rider to adjust their ride height and bottoming pressure.
Do I need to use Nitrogen?
No, It is ideal but not necessary. Nitrogen is dryer than compressed air and is not affected by temperature change.
How many pumps should it take to charge my bottoming chamber?
Using the hand pump it should take a few hundred pumps to bring your bottoming chamber to pressure. If within a few pumps it shows over 100 psi, the pump is most likely not fully tightened onto the valve. Because of the variance in pumps, you may need to further tighten it lightly with a pair of pliers.
Do I have to remove my shocks from my vehicle to install Dual Pressure?
Yes, pick your application to see install videos: FLOAT 2 or FLOAT 3
Can I add Dual Pressure to my Fox FLOAT 3 Rear?
Yes, for better trail performance use Part #73-11-005, and for off trail use Part# 03-35-004-A.
What type of grease should be used?
It is okay to use any basic cold weather grease.
Can I add Dual Pressure to my Fox FLOAT 2 Rear?
Yes, but clearance link rods for mounting are needed, see Part #03-35-003-A
Will my shocks need to be disassembled/rebuilt to install this kit?
No, in most cases Dual Pressure 2/3 can be installed with simple hand tools *(See Install Videos). Fox FLOAT X shocks commonly found on 2011-13 FX Nytro RTX and 2009-10 FX Nytro SE models will require partial shock disassembly by a qualified service tech. *Pick your application to see the install video: FLOAT 2 or FLOAT 3
